Brian Vick – Founder, President, and CEO

“The best way out of a difficult situation is straight through it.”

Brian is a Jacksonville native, hailing from a family tree rich in construction DNA. Born the son of a contractor, his career path was a familiar and obvious choice from early on.  As a teenager, it was clear that Brian was destined to follow in his father’s footsteps.  Instead of spending his summers going to the beach, he spent that time laboring alongside his dad on any job site where he was permitted.

After graduating from Nease High School, Brian continued to polish his skill set, while majoring in Construction Management at FCCJ.  Being a young and already well-established project manager, Brian quickly found work as a construction supervisor; building restaurants all over the state of Florida.  In 2004, Brian was appointed a position as a General Project Manager for one of the leading developers in Northeast Florida.  Soon after, he found himself named Vice President of a state-wide, multi-family renovation specialist company.  With years of diverse experience already under his belt, and a resolute determination for personal success, Brian sought out and received his Building Contractors License in 2007, and his Roofing Contractors License in 2008.

Brian’s mission was to establish a “one call, one company” solution-based service.  In 2008 Brian single-handedly founded and began the process of building what is now, Stonebridge Construction Services, LLC.  Stonebridge began as a Residential and Multi-family Roofing and Construction Company.  He felt it was very important to instill in the framework of this company his personal core values and industry knowledge.  Stonebridge began to see a need for growth and expanded into Commercial Roofing.  Since beginning Stonebridge out of a little spare bedroom home office, Brian’s laser-focused commitment to his clientele’s complete satisfaction, SBCS has been very fortunate to have been recognized among Northeastern Florida’s most highly referred Roofing and Building Contractors.  From very humble beginnings, Brian has been able to transform Stonebridge into a company which now includes four divisions that serve clients in Duval and surrounding counties.

As a husband, father of three, and a business owner, free time is often a scarce commodity.  However, when the rare occasion presents itself, Brian enjoys fishing, camping, golfing and spending as much time as he possibly can on, or in the water.  Brian gives back to our community through supporting local organized youth sports teams, and looks to expand his community involvement in the near future.

Shane Dickens- Safety Coordinator, and COO

“Working safely may get old but, so do those that practice it”

Shane is currently the Operations Manager and Safety Coordinator for Stonebridge Construction. With his 24 years in the construction industry we rely on Shane to oversee the general daily operations at our Stonebridge headquarters as well as maintain our ever growing and evolving Safety Program. A consistent onsite presence, along with project evaluation reports and the help of project managers and field superintendents, Shane strives to keep Stonebridge up to date and compliant with current safety standards. Shane’s attention to detail and company structure allow him to help manage our constant growth while preserving and promoting the welfare of our business.

Shane is originally from Knoxville, Tennessee but currently he resides in Saint Johns, FL with his wife and two children. On his off time he and his family share a need for speed! They collectively enjoy any excursions that include riding their ATV’s and on a clear afternoon, you might find Shane touring the back roads on his Harley. They attend Ponte Vedra Presbyterian Church and on a slow Sunday you might bump into Shane out on the golf course.

Sammy George- Waterproofing Division Project Manager

“Do It Right, Do It Once”

Sammy is a Jacksonville native who has well over 35 years in the roofing and waterproofing industry. Sammy believes in not only providing timely production, but also achieving a quality finished product. Over the years, Sammy has learned that building and maintaining relationships with clients is just as valuable as the product which we provide at Stonebridge.

When Sammy is not working, he enjoys spending time on the water or somewhere in a mud hole having fun.

Rick Newman- Residential Roofing Division Manager

“Don’t be busy, be productive.”

With over 15 years of estimating and project management experience, Rick is an asset to our Residential Roofing Division.  At a very young age, Rick began working with his father, who was very well known for his craftsmanship and quality of work.  These qualities were instilled into Rick.  As part of a generation of roofers, Rick has a very diverse  knowledge of steep slope, as well as, low slope applications.

Rick has the ability to speak to his clients in a way that makes a difficult decision an easy process.  Input given by Rick would be as if he were speaking with a family member or friend. Rick is a straight shooter, and thoroughly explains not only the product but also the benefit of choosing Stonebridge services.

In his free time, Rick enjoys spending time with his wife and children.  You can often find Rick relaxing while trying to catch a fish or two.

Production Managers

Brian Barlow- Commercial Roofing Project Manager, Lead Estimator

“There are no such things as PROBLEMS; only SOLUTIONS in disguise”

As a Commercial Roofing Project Manager, Brian leads a team of professionals dedicated to exceeding our customer’s expectations and providing the best possible roof installations. With over 20 years of experience, Brian brings a vast wealth of technical knowledge that helps set Stonebridge apart as a leader in the industry.

A New York native, Brian attended college on Long Island before transferring to Boston to attend Wentworth Institute of Technology. His tenure there was during the “Big Dig”; at the time, the largest civil construction project in the country. What he learned there set the tone for his exceptional approach on project management and quality control. Brian left Boston with a Degree in Constructing Management and Architectural Engineering. He started his career with a small firm in Western Connecticut. His journey took him up and down the east coast, working on projects small and large; always learning and expanding his knowledge with the changes in the industry.

Seeking a challenge, and a warm place to live, Brian moved to Florida where he met his wife. Now along with their daughter, they enjoy the “Florida Lifestyle” in the country. Fortunately for him, his whole family is here as well.  According to Brian, that is just what New Yorkers do.

Kevin Matson- Commercial Roofing Production and Service Manager

“A Goal without a Plan Is Just a Wish”

Kevin began his construction career when he was introduced to the industry by his mother’s husband. Kevin’s first task was a retention wall in Denver, Colorado.  Learning the trade and acquiring the skills needed, Kevin continued as a member of this team until turning 18.  After graduation from High School, Kevin joined the United States Army Airborne Infantry.  After serving 3 tours during two wars, Kevin concluded his service with the Army due to combat related injuries.  Once home, Kevin immediately knew that construction was his calling.  Kevin found employment doing sheet metal welding, which lead him to transition to commercial roofing. It didn’t take Kevin long to decide that this is where he excelled. Starting off as a helper doing foam and roof coatings, he slowly progressed into TPO and PVC roof systems, as well.  When Kevin relocated to Florida with his family, he found a home here at Stonebridge. Kevin now leads our Commercial Roofing Production and Service Management.

When Kevin is not working he likes to spend time with his wife and children.

Matt Ammerman- Commercial Roofing Production Manager

“You only fail when you stop trying”

Matt is a Florida native who grew up in the Jacksonville area. Matt took a job with the railroad which took him allover the country for many years of his adult life. Ready to return to the area and looking for a change of pace, Matt returned to Florida. Matt had many relationships with the employees of Stonebridge and we felt as he was a good fit. Joining the Stonebridge team in 2016 , Matt has been an asset to our team as a Residential Project Manager.

In Matt’s spare time, you can find him taking in a concert or enjoying time spent with friends.

 

Adam Romagnolo- Residential Roofing Production Manager

“Quality is not an act, it is a habit”

Originally a native of Miami, Adam moved to Jacksonville at the age of seventeen.  Adam began at Stonebridge as an assistant to the Production Manager in 2013. Gaining the skills and learning the trade, it was apparent to management that Adam was an asset to the Stonebridge team. Adam is a natural at speaking with clients and building business relationships. Adam is now our Residential Roofing Production Manager.

In Adam’s free time, he enjoys hanging out at the beach with friends.

 

Stan Smith – Residential Roofing Service Manager

“If the plan doesn’t work, change the plan but never the goal”

Stan is a Jacksonville native who grew up on the far Westside of town. As a young man, after high school graduation Stan took odd jobs in the construction industry in order to learn useful skills

As the Residential Roofing Service Manager, Stan works hard to keep things moving in a forward direction.  Stan applies all of the work ethic and knowledge which he learned after 18 years of working with a local glass company.

When Stan isn’t managing, he enjoys time with his wife and two teenagers.  You can find Stan’s family biking,  hiking, camping or across the ball field where he helps coach his daughters softball team.
